WIPO's Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Interchange is a dialogue on IP metadata, identifiers, watermarking, rights management and related technical infrastructure. WIPO explicitly says it does not set policy or legal standards.
PARADIGM INSIGHTS:
An identifier or watermark matters when it lets an author trace a use and a decision-maker test a claim. Rights metadata should preserve provenance and support corrections, not pretend to decide ownership by itself. WIPO's interchange is technical dialogue, not a legal standard; the bridge from data to a remedy still has to be designed.
