U.S. Judiciary Updates AI Guidance for Federal Courts

PARADIGM INSIGHTS:
A court can use AI to assist work without outsourcing judgment. The boundary becomes real when the record shows what the tool did, which sources a person checked and who made the ruling. If a litigant cannot trace or challenge material that influenced the decision, the court has gained speed at the expense of review. The judiciary's interim guidance does not authorize delegated adjudication.
