Granola Faces Proposed Class Action Over Meeting-Note Consent

In Chamberlain v. Granola, a plaintiff alleges the AI note-taking app captured participants' meeting communications without their knowledge or consent and used content for training. Those are complaint allegations, not established product behavior or a ruling. The case tests notice and consent duties where one meeting participant uses an AI assistant.

PARADIGM INSIGHTS:

The allegations against an AI note-taking service put participant consent and the provenance of meeting data in focus. Any private dispute process for these claims would have to establish who consented, to which recording and data uses, while leaving statutory and public enforcement intact. These are allegations, not findings.
