CORD Rules Version 2 Address AI Use and Optional Appeals
CORD publishes Version 2 of its arbitration rules dated September 4, 2026. Its institutional rules list Rule 38 on artificial intelligence tools and an AI Practice Note. The institution also describes an optional appeal, tiered arbitrator fees, emergency arbitration and Delay Default Costs. These are institutional rules, not a new law or an October 8 launch.
PARADIGM INSIGHTS:
AI governance belongs in the procedure the parties agree to use. A digital dispute forum should make responsibility for AI use, the human decision role and any appeal route clear before a dispute begins. Published rules offer a comparison point, not proof that another platform has adopted or tested the same safeguards.
